Who would want to be called fatty?

Well. No one wants to be called fatty and more importantly noone want to be unhealthy right?

Did you know? Andy Rhine of California was weighing about 480 kgs when he breathed his last at 35 years of age. He was seen on his couch in his apartment and was then shifted to hospital after calling a crane to lift him to hospital bed from his apartment where he died. Itseems his organs were crushed because of his body weight and his heart became so tired and could not cope up with pumping blood into every nooky and cranny of his monstrous body. It stopped beating at 35 itself.

Priscilla Stone weighed 550 kg and she had to depend on a truck for transporting her. All things in her home were tailored including the chairs, beds, doorways...even the restroom stuff) to suit her big plus size.

Pick your jaw up from off that floor and think a while. If these stories have been your nightmares, well you are certainly not alone.

Obesity causes so many side effects; trauma, anxiety, depression and plays a havoc with mind. It simply implies that there is nothing else thats worthier than a slim and prim proper body. And. I would say that only a miniscule per cent of population fall in this standard.

And did I tell you that obesity will also push a person into destructive eating disorders like anorexia nervosa and bulimia? You know how fat people are a target of ridicule and mockery and butt of jokes amongst friends, society and even in pictures.

What about the numerous health disorders that are caused by obesity such as the coronary artery disease, arthritis, diabetes hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and hyoertriglyceridemia? And did you know that many researchers linked causes of some cancers to obesity?

Scarry?? Dont lose heart!
The age-old combination of balanced diet and exercise regimen can turn your life. And the benefits of regular exercise are by far many:
Fat loss
Increased strength and stamina
Improved self confidence
Increased body flexibility
Improved cardiovascular efficiency
Increased alertness of brain
Denser; implying stronger bones
Increased life expectancy
Improved sleep
Decreased blood pressure

These apart, you will notice a dramatic improvement in appearance and physique. Remember that the goal of exercising is not to bring your body to fit into a predetermined contour or fashion mould or faking you to look as somebody else. Indeed make yourself more vibrant and healthier.

There are so many factors to affect a person's weight; genetical factors, body type, environment, dietary habits, and metabolism. A sedentary lifestyle also will result in obesity. One must consider the following factors:

Activity: Aerobic activities, which cover a large sphere and include swimming, cycling, stair climbing, racketting games, walking, jogging and many many more.

Intensity of the activities: It must be ideally within a person's fat burn zone or otherwise popular as training zone or target heart range and this varies with individuals and governed by several factors as well such as afe, goals of activities, current fitness level, health problems if any, etc. For instance if a person is taking some medications it might affect his heart range and a good trainer will caluculate your heart range and monitor it throughout.

Frequency of activities: For fat loss, one needs to start working out for at least 3 times a week to gradually upping to about 5-6 times.

Duration: Raise your heart rate to the target range and stay there for over half an hour.

**Make sure you come back for some useful pointers.

Blue chip stocks might be your best buy right now!

Everyone indulged in trading will be aware of this basic rule of playing the stock market: buy low and sell high. Ah! if only it were that simple, ain't it?

Well, as of now the market is at low ebb and a lot of blue chip scrips are also at low levels (some of them indeed at lifetime low). This could well be the time for you to pick up stocks (and how many of you removed your sandals to throw at me?....read further before doing that......), as a long-term investor and then step back to enable your portfolio to develop.

So said, make sure you have some knowledge about the sector and the industry behind every scrip you are investing. Don't assume that Blue chips mean that they are not prone to crashes and tumbles. They are as good as any other scrips and prone to fall downs. But what you probably need to ascertain is whether the company has a strong place within its sector or not and check out its prospect for growth and how the leadership within the company is (after Enron and Satyam's fiasco you guys ought to check this) and how and if it had pulled itself from turbulent weather situations in the past.

A firm's resilience is quite an important factor to consider so at the current market trends when your risk factor is not that great, start researching and go for it!

Happy trading!

Could man live in a computer program?

Does your life ever bore you, to the point, that you wish you could live in a computerized program? Well, according to Michael McGuigan, a scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory, technology is "just a few years away" from allowing you to get in touch with your inner Neo (?). How McGuigan hypothesizes that computers will be able to generate lifelike images is interesting, yet unsubstantiated.

As told to newscientist.com, McGuigan explains that computers are ready to produce artificial scenes and textures that can pass themselves off as real to the human eye right now. Right now!? Evidently, it is the case, but presently, it takes hours to render such detailed images. To fully create a passable virtual reality, McGuigan claims that this ability must be sped up to the point that computers can render these scenes in real-time.

Think of the possibilities of such a program. You'd like to go golfing, but you get off work too late; go to the VR golf course. Don't have the time to go on vacation, spend an evening at a VR tourist spot. This technology could revolutionize how leisure time is spent. Potentially, it would also allow those strapped for money to be able to visit exotic locales at discounted rates.

However, we shouldn't get too carried away with ourselves. After all, it is easy to set up an arbitrary timeframe for, but hard to actually come through when the time comes. And by a few years, does McGuigan mean two to three, like most people would take "a few" to mean. Or does he mean that in the absolutely perfect scenario, this type of virtual world could be available in such a short time. Maybe the more realistic expectation is within a few decades. At any rate, everything attached to this story is mere speculation. Perhaps it is better to leave it at that, opting to dream of the possibilities instead.

Few things women do!

Check these...these are good ol' ones, but brought a grin on my frowned jobless-for-the-day face for sure and so can bring one on yours. If not let me know!

The Silent Treatment
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving eachother the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, hewould need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning businessflight.

Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on apiece of paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM " He left it where he knew shewould find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and hehad missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and see why his wifehadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The papersaid, "It is 5:00 AM . Wake up."

Ha ha men for sure are not equipped for these kinds of contests! What say?

Wife vs Husband
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Huh! Relatives of yours?"

"Yep," the wife replied , " my great in-laws"

Women's revenge
"Cash, check or charge?" I asked, after folding items the woman wished to purchase.
As she fumbled for her wallet I noticed a remote control for a television set in her purse."So, do you always carry your TV remote?" I asked."No," she replied, " but my husband refused to come shopping with me,and I figured that this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally."

W O R D S
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day; they are 30,000 to a man's measly 15,000.
The wife replied, "The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, "What?"

Creation
A man said to his wife one day, "I don't know how you can be so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
" The wife responded, "Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you!

Who does what?
A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning.
The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."
The husband said, " You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."
Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me." So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says ..........."HEBREWS"
God may have created man before woman,
but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece.

Welcome President-Barack Hussein Obama

Entire world, and, in particular Washington State is all ready to witness the US’ 44th president step into the Whitehouse, and the man is no other than a young 47-year-old Barack Hussein Obama, the first black national to become US President. By becoming one, what a history Obama has made? Alas! I wonder that Obama will be welcomed with US citizens sporting a fake smile. To sport a real smile when the country is suffering a deficit of about $1.2 trillion is a difficult task.

Democrat-elect Barack Obama might be little shaken at the things he’s got to fathom and act at once he is taking charge of the White House. Still, I wonder to see that infectious smile on the man’s face not only during his pre-election campaign but also during those pre-inauguration rounds. In fact, I believe that smile reflects the strength he is building inside to face the slowing down nation’s economy, recession everywhere, burgeoning unemployment and ever-worrying teen issues.

Obama, as of now, maybe seen by all chilling at the eateries and restaurants in the city and trying hotdogs. If you think he was pampering his taste buds you are just not getting this man right! Indeed this man is gazing the pulse of the city and taking time to learn about the place he’s newly come to stay. Guess he is not in a culture shock! He’d paid a visit to the Abraham Lincoln’s Memorial with family and would have certainly gotten some tips and advice from the great leader’s soul. What a nice theme on the banner ‘ A new birth of freedom.’ I can only pray that he be endowed with more strength so he frees people of United States from unemployment, tax surpluses, recession and downsizing, wounded democracy, and poor international image.

What a big task in front of this small man (small I meant by his physical size). He needs to find those roads to recover from financial stress and fight with the slump country is suffering.

It’s finally admitted that US is hit by what is said the worst ever financial depression and Barack Hussein Obama already pledged for a 90 days moratorium on mortgage defaulters. Indeed isn’t this sub prime crisis the culprit for economic collapse of one of the world’s largest economies? And subsequently we see how the European and even the Asian markets tumble down and crash leaving many millions jobless and homeless.

Obama also hinted how it’s onus of every person to help country tide away with the economic crises. How he’s going to handle the Iran’s nuclear crisis will be a thing everyone is waiting to see. And, it’s on 20th day of January afternoon time that Barack Hussein Obama will be sworn in as the 44th US President, and I wholeheartedly wish him the best.

Welcome President, we are waiting with our fingers crossed to see how you can salvage us (US) from the current slump!
